Baby Girl Scrapbook

"Sugar and spice and everything nice that's what little girls are made of "
Today I have a sweet baby girl book to share with you.
Handmade
As a Mom of two boys I have said before that I love a baby girl project. Sweet pinks and purples, flowers, ruffles, ribbon and glitter.
Handmade
When my friend Andi told me she was going to need a baby girl book I thought yes!!
Handmade
I used a heart shape chipboard album that I already had for this book. I bought a baby girl scrapbook kit and I was ready to get to work.
Handmade
Putting the book together was easy. I trace the chipboard hearts onto the scrapbook paper, then cut the hearts out. I used Mod Podge for paper to adhere the paper to the chipboard.
Handmade
I cut mats out for pictures and added the black corners for some edging.
Handmade
Some of the stickers are chipboard others are flat stickers.I just popped them onto each page.
Handmade
I like the coordinated scrapbook kits, I don't waste time trying to choose each piece.
Handmade
I decided to print some random black and white baby photos from the internet and put them in the book, so when I photographed the book for the blog so you could see what it looks like with pictures already in it.
Handmade
You could add color photos to this book too, I just went with the black and white for fun.

Each page has some stickers, buttons or rhinestones.

Even babies like some bling

This mini album can hold ten pictures.

I hope this mini album becomes a keepsake for the baby girl it is intended for.
Handmade
It is as unique as she is.
Handmade
 One of a kind.

Below is a shot of the back of the book. I added a chipboard swirl.

I tied this big pink wire ribbon bow to one of the key rings. Two key rings are the binding for the book.

I really enjoyed making this sweet baby girl album.

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my latest project. Have a wonderful day.

Witch Hat

Is there a witch in your life?

Feather Trim

Well I have the perfect hat for her!

Halloween

Creepy rodents, glittery spiders and sparkly pumpkins included.

Halloween

I wasn't going to decorate for Halloween this year. Just seasonal autumn stuff. Then I saw "her", this hat in a magazine. Actually she was in an advertisement for Floralcraft. Anyways I knew then I would have at least one Halloween decoration.

Halloween

I already had most of the supplies needed for the project, a determining factor in the decision to make the hat. I ended up making two.

*Basically you cut and angle the Styrofoam cone a few times.

*Glue the pieces together. (I used my hot glue gun, which worked, but there was some sizzling involved, kids don't try this without permission).

*Cut a large cardboard circle, paint it black, for the hat brim.

*Wrap the cone and circle many times in black mesh, it only took one roll of mesh for both hats.

*I added orange ribbon around the base of the cone.

*Glue the cones to the brim/cardboard circles.

*Glue the feather boa from Michael's to the edges of hat brim.

*Paint some small plastic spiders, mice and pumpkins with ModPodge and sprinkle glitter on them.

At the bottom of this post is a link to the instructions on the Floralcraft website.

Halloween

I added a rhinestone heart and some beads, even a witch enjoys some bling!

Halloween

Here she is in all her glory!

Halloween

Had a little to much fun playing with the filters at Picmonkey..

Halloween

Below is a shot of the "girls"  setting on their stands. I am calling them Maia and Millie. After two little sweeties I know. Hoping they both have a wonderful Halloween!

Halloween

Happy Halloween to all the witches out there! Everyone deserves a holiday!

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day,

Fall Outdoor Decor

Would you like to see my fall outdoor decor?
Sure go ahead take a peek at my yard.
I decorated just for you.
Vintage Wheelbarrow
Do you remember my friend Paula's wheelbarrow, in the picture below?
She bought her wheelbarrow at a really cute store called The Freckled Frog in Reno NV. I love it and I wanted one too. $Lucky for me we already have an old "vintage" wheelbarrow. Not only is our wheelbarrow aged to perfection, it has a cool family history because it was my father-in-laws wheelbarrow. I am sure it never occurred to him to decorate his wheelbarrow. I am also sure he wouldn't be the least bit surprised that I thought to decorate it!
Vintage Wheelbarrow
I love these wood handles, this wheelbarrow has earned its keep!

Apparently our scarecrow has access to strawberry jelly.

I made this cute wood ghost many years ago. I love to do wood crafts.....I really, really, really dislike sawdust though.

Below is the Happy Fall Y'All Scarecrow Pumpkin I blogged about recently. He is front and center in the yard. He is our fall mascot.

The pumpkin patch sign below is another one of my wood creations from days gone by.

Below is a shot of our bench and planter from my concrete bench making phase. I love all the detail on both of them and they are aging perfectly. I am one of those people who says hey I can make that! My husband loves that about me wishes I would just buy the stuff at the store when I see it. On a side note, I mixed the concrete for the bench and the planter in the wheelbarrow.

Here is a shot of the mailbox. I love our magnetic Welcome mailbox cover that our super nice neighbors gave us!
Cornstalk/Mailbox
I love watching the leaves on our tree change each day. The color is fabulous!
Check out these cute ghosts our other great neighbor made us. Aren't they adorable? We are so blessed with such considerate and thoughtful neighbors!
