FALL Banner

Welcome paper lovers, today I have a beautiful FALL banner to share with you. Love my banners, I think they are a great non fussy decoration. I have banners for every holiday (almost) and season. Speaking of seasons, whenever someone asks me what my favorite season is Autumn is the first to come to mind but truth be told I can never pick a favorite season, I love each one for their own uniqueness.

Gotta love Fall for all the obvious delights, pumpkins, crisp beautiful fall mornings, pumpkins, harvest time in the garden and orchard, pumpkins, gourds, back to school for the kids, pumpkins, football season, Halloween and Thanksgiving, pumpkins, yummy soups, comfy sweaters, pumpkins and of course the whole Autumn is a second spring, when every leaf is a flower!!

My personal Autumn favorites are making that first batch of Paula Deen's potpourri, it is a wonderful aroma that makes the house smell and feel so cozy. Building and lighting that first fire in the fireplace, warm cocoa, hot buttered rums....curling up on the couch with a favorite warm blanket.

And of course I love the decorating, pumpkins, and the holiday crafting.

So here is the banner I put together to celebrate such a wonderful season. A special touch for this banner is the wood letters I used for the word FALL. I bought them at Michael's and painted them a deep rust for a warm accent. I made my pinwheels with my Martha Stewart score board. I glue gunned everything together to make sure everything stays put.

I used some decorative punches for the edging of the banner panels. Added some circles with some homespun buttons to finish the bottom of each panel.

I am still working on getting good photos of my banners, it looks like it is time to break down and buy a wide angle camera lens. I know I will get plenty of use out of one, better start my research on them!!

Below is a shot of the first panel of the banner, I attached some felt leaves to it.

The last panel of the banner is in the photo below, with more felt leaves.

I used a great copper colored satin wired ribbon for the bows between each panel. Wire ribbon is the best, you can adjust it any way you want!

So if you have followed my last post, you know that I listed my vintage baby book on ebay. I am very happy to say it sold to a lovey lady and fellow crafter in Canada. I love meeting new people from new places. So I thought I would list this banner on ebay and see what happens with it. Click here to link to the ebay listing.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit, please let my know what your favorite Fall delights are.   Have a great day!  Lori
