Baby Girl Scrapbook

"Sugar and spice and everything nice that's what little girls are made of "
Today I have a sweet baby girl book to share with you.
Handmade
As a Mom of two boys I have said before that I love a baby girl project. Sweet pinks and purples, flowers, ruffles, ribbon and glitter.
Handmade
When my friend Andi told me she was going to need a baby girl book I thought yes!!
Handmade
I used a heart shape chipboard album that I already had for this book. I bought a baby girl scrapbook kit and I was ready to get to work.
Handmade
Putting the book together was easy. I trace the chipboard hearts onto the scrapbook paper, then cut the hearts out. I used Mod Podge for paper to adhere the paper to the chipboard.
Handmade
I cut mats out for pictures and added the black corners for some edging.
Handmade
Some of the stickers are chipboard others are flat stickers.I just popped them onto each page.
Handmade
I like the coordinated scrapbook kits, I don't waste time trying to choose each piece.
Handmade
I decided to print some random black and white baby photos from the internet and put them in the book, so when I photographed the book for the blog so you could see what it looks like with pictures already in it.
Handmade
You could add color photos to this book too, I just went with the black and white for fun.

Each page has some stickers, buttons or rhinestones.

Even babies like some bling

This mini album can hold ten pictures.

I hope this mini album becomes a keepsake for the baby girl it is intended for.

It is as unique as she is.
Handmade
 One of a kind.

Below is a shot of the back of the book. I added a chipboard swirl.

I tied this big pink wire ribbon bow to one of the key rings. Two key rings are the binding for the book.

I really enjoyed making this sweet baby girl album.

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my latest project. Have a wonderful day.

Paris Scrapbook

How fabulous does a trip to Paris, France in the spring sound? Can you imagine the photo opportunities? Well it is a dream come true for my nephew and his girlfriend. They are exploring the city of lights as I type this.
My sister Julie (Pookie) David's Mom, wanted to make sure they had a "fabulous" scrapbook to display their pictures of their travels. Well all I can say is she reached her goal!!! You are in for a treat visitors as I share this lovely scrapbook my sister made.
Isn't this stand perfect? The pages flip up and over, so easy to check out each one. Any page can be the cover. David and Dana can display this on a shelf or the coffee table. All their memories right at their fingertips.

My sister Julie (Pookie) (Marvins other and oldest daughter) yes she is my older sister, put so much incredible detail into this scrapbook!! She stamped, inked edges, punched borders added stickers and personalized almost every page. There are pockets to stash tickets, brochures and extra photos throughout the scrapbook. I guess with age comes an eye for detail!!
This is truly a treasure, made with love.
I love the graphics on this paper. It is perfect for a trip.
A London page below, for their layover.
I love this page below!! I love everything about it, mostly the mix of colors!! Pookie still has more pages to make so you can look forward to a follow up post. With more close up photos I promise!!
Pookie my (oldest and only) sister is always saying I am the creative (younger) sister...I say I am just following in HER footsteps!! Leave her a comment below and let her know how special this album is!!
Thank you for stopping by, have a great day, Lori
Disclaimer (No feelings were hurt by the age jokes in this post. My sister always says "with age comes wisdom".....)

My 1st Twelve Months - Baby Boy

Thank you for stopping by. Finally some paper crafting again! Today I have a four page layout for a baby boy's first 12 months. I don't really do a lot of 12x12 layouts, but I had this paper (that I love) and this idea for a first 12 months layout. I love the bright colors for a baby. The graphics on this line of paper have a cool retro look. I knew I wanted to make something special with it.
Below are the first two pages of the layout.
Below are pages three and four.
For each "month" I made several flaps to lift and open so you can add photos and/or journal some of the many first year memories.
I couldn't get a good picture of every flap open, but each month has a couple of flaps that open like a mini book.
I love the thick chipboard stickers that go with this line of paper.
Below are close-ups of each month. Click on the pictures to enlarge.

I used the Little Boy Blue line by Cratepaper for this project. It is a good quality paper. I love this fresh bright retro look. All the paper for this project was purchased at Paper Daisies.
Thank you for stopping by today. I think there is a happy young family out there that this would be perfect for!! Have a great day, Lori
