Welcome paper lovers, today I have another baby boy book to show you. I found a page kit packet that I had bought a couple of years ago, and thought what a cute book this could be.
I used EK Success chipboard for the front and back covers. I cut some manilla file folders to use for the pages and then covered them with the scrapbook paper. I used six one inch key rings for the binding. Originally I had planned to bind the book with my Zutter, but the book was to thick for the Zutter Owire binding I had. I like the way the rings looks and they are sturdy.
On the front cover I cut some diamond shapes to simulate a quilt effect. I love a beautiful quilt, but so far have only attempted paper ones. Then I layered a sticker from the page kit onto a pinwheel I made with my Martha scoreboard.
Below is a picture of the first two pages, more pinwheels, stickers and some journaling tags that slide into a side slot on page two.

Below pages three and four.
Pages five and six in the photo below. I made each set of pages with a banner theme.
Pages seven and eight below.
Pages nine and ten in the picture below.
And finally the last pages. I put a big tag on the last page for all the baby memories you don't want to forget!!
One last shot of the back of the book. I also used some Dotted Swiss Cardstock from Bazzill.and velvet ribbon that I purchased at Paper Daisies.
And now on to a bit of Autumn decor. I love everything autumn, most of all the beautiful fall colors of nature. I have to admit pulling out the decos always makes me excited for the holidays to come.
Above and below are pictures of a Halloween decoration I made in a class my sister (Marvin's other daughter : ) and I took at Paper Daisies. Darlene taught this fun class and had everything ready for us. Her husband made the frames! I love the texture of chicken wire and roughed up cardboard. Click on the photos to check out all the fun details. Great design and class Darlene!!
We finally painted the front door brown and I love it!! I wrapped some leaf garland around my twig wreath and presto an autumn welcome on the front door!
More leaf garland wrapped around the kitchen light.
In the pictures below and above are some adorable pumpkins my dear friend Wendy made me last year. They are my favorite decos this year and I am sure they will be for years to come!!! Check out her website FinishYourCrafts.com She does some great work and lets face it, we all have projects that we need to finish but never get to!! Here's your answer!!
One more shot of a wall hanging I made years ago with one of my favorite autumn quotes. I scraplifted this idea from a craft magazine, wish I could give the original artist credit, but still wanted to include it!
Today I am joining in on a fun blog activity called a "link-up" party. One fun blog that I follow called Snack Cups and Smiles is co-hosting a one year blog anniversary celebration, for another blog that I follow called Domestic Randomness. The Domesticated Princess is also co-hosting the celebration! Check out all three of these fun blogs just by clicking on their names.
So some quick info on what a link-up party is; bloggers are invited to "link-up" a post from their blog onto the hosts blog. Sometimes the party has a theme such as recipes, DIY, crafts or gardening to name a few. Sometimes any topic is welcome. It is always fun to check out everyone's contributions to the party. I am linking up this springtime post myself. Thank you for checking out my post and please visit Domestic Randomness for their one year blog anniversary!
Thank you so much for stopping by. Leave a comment and let me know what your autumn favorites are!! Have a great day, Lori
