March Tim Holtz Tags 2013

Welcome paper lovers, thank you for stopping by. It's Tim Holtz tag time again! Today I have my March tag, and my sister Julie's (Pookie) March tag. We both stuck pretty much to Tim's sample this month. Tim's tag is so cute what could we change???
(Please join my blog in the box to the right)
Easter tag
I will start off with my tag. I went with blue glitter for my bunny and added three flowers instead of two. I know I always have to push the boundaries!
We used the Silhouette die cut machine to cut the bunny silhouette and to cut the grass. I swear no pun intended...we did use it to "cut the grass"......
I used leaves from some fabric flowers I had. I cut the edges with my zig zag scissors, then rubbed some brown ink on them. We used  a couple of punches for the flowers, and we inked those up too.
I printed "hello friend" on some brown paper. We cut the banners wider then the tag and then folded and scrunched them up to fit on the tag. We inked the edges with black ink. For the ribbon at the top of the tag I rubbed a dark blue ink on it to get the color I wanted.
Bunny Springtime Easter
So there is my March Tim Holtz tag. Below is my sisters tag. See if you can spot the differences.

Pookie's (Julie) Tim Holtz Tag March

I have a drawer filled with embossing powders and glitter. Pookie said "lets use these" and she did. She started by making a green glitter bunny. Then she added some sparkle to the edges of her tag too.
We both used some pale pink crinkly ribbon from The Craft Spot.
I am not sure how she got such an iridescent look on her grass....but I do know it took a few layers of embossing powders and the heat gun was..... heated!! I love the look and will probably never be able to copy it!! Darn it!!

Below is a picture of our tags together. Almost the same.....just like us!!! Oh I am so funny...............I know I know!
Spring Bunny Easter Handmade tags
You could put these tags on the front of a card to make a cute Easter card or a springtime card for a good friend. You could always add them to your scrapbook too.
Below is Tim Holtz's original tag he designed. Please visit Tim Holtz's blog by clicking on the link below and check out all the incredible creative tags everyone has made!

Below is a picture where I had a little fun with the editing program.

Just by looking at these tags you might not realize that the best thing about the Tim Holtz tag challenge is crafting with my sister!! It's so fun to spend creative time together and she laughs at my jokes the whole time! And we both end up with a cute tag!
