One Wreath 4 Ways

Greetings from MarvinsDaughters...are you feeling spring yet? It is still early spring here, but at 70 degrees today we are getting there.

Spring Summer Autumn

Do you decorate for Spring? Now that my boys are older....I don't really pull out the Easter decos anymore.  As I am writing this though I am thinking .....mmmm maybe I should pull them out!

This is where the wreath comes in. Our grapevine wreath is usually my first official outdoor decoration of each year.

Last year I went with forsythia as you will see in the pictures below but I decided to update this year. I kept seeing these giant silk flowers at Michaels and I wanted to use them for something. So when I saw them for 50% off I got three! They had a really long stem so I cut it down to about 4 inches. I also trimmed the leaves off the stem, then I arranged the flowers and the leaves to my liking on the wreath. All I did was work the stems into the grapevines. Oh and hang it on the door.

The wreath hangs on an easy to remove 3M Scotch Command Adhesive Hook. I like the brushed silver look and it matches the door handle.

Below is how I decorated the wreath last year. Also note the door was white then.

Next are a couple of pictures of the lilac silk flowers I added to the wreath in the summer.

I love the cream, purple and green color palette for the summer wreath. It matched the purple flowers I had out front.

Next is the autumn version. This time I used some pretty glitter autumn garland from Michael's, half off again!

I just wrapped the garland around the wreath. No trimming necessary when using garland!

Below is what I did for the front door at Christmas. I copied my friend Paula. Well I bought the same basket as she did, my "stuffins" were different than hers though. It was so thick I had to hang it outside of the storm door! I used the silver hook and it stayed up fine for the month of Dec. It also came off the door not leaving a mark.

I picked up this frame below at Hobby Lobby on our trip over the hill last month. It was white when I bought it, so of course I sprayed it silver. I always loved the peephole frame on "Friends" so this is my "Monica frame" a decade later. Just setting trends here at MarvinsDaughters!!

It is easy to store the flowers, I just put them in different plastic grocery bags so that I have each season separated. The autumn garland is in a bigger bag so I put all the other bags in that one. Everything is together and easy to find when I want to change it up.

Spring Autumn Fall Summer

I think a festive wreath is so welcoming on a front door. Please leave a comment below and let me know which one of my wreaths you like best!
